For medical professionals treating patients with chronic musculoskeletal pain, finding effective, non-invasive treatment options is an ongoing priority. The Erchonia FX 635 provides clinics with an innovative low-level laser therapy solution designed to complement existing pain-management and rehabilitation protocols.
Featuring a hands-free design, targeted laser delivery and an easy-to-use touchscreen interface, the FX 635 can be integrated into a wide range of medical and rehabilitation settings. Magne-tec is the official Canadian distributor of Erchonia lasers and provides Canadian healthcare professionals with product information, demonstrations and support.
A Non-Invasive Approach to Musculoskeletal Pain
The Erchonia FX 635 uses low-level laser technology to deliver 640-nanometre red laser light to targeted areas of the body. Unlike high-powered surgical lasers, low-level laser therapy does not cut, burn or generate significant heat.
The light energy is absorbed by the cells and is intended to support cellular activity, including the production of adenosine triphosphate, commonly known as ATP. ATP plays an important role in cellular energy and the body’s natural recovery processes.
According to Erchonia, the FX 635 is designed as a non-invasive, pain-free treatment option for patients experiencing chronic musculoskeletal pain. Patients remain awake and comfortable throughout treatment, with no incisions or required recovery period following a session.
Developed for Medical Professionals
The FX 635 is intended for use by qualified medical professionals and may be a valuable addition to chiropractic, podiatry, physiotherapy, sports rehabilitation, pain-management and integrative healthcare practices.
The Erchonia FX Series has received FDA and Health Canada clearances for indications that include:
- Temporary relief of nociceptive musculoskeletal pain
- Adjunctive relief of minor chronic low-back pain of musculoskeletal origin
- Adjunctive reduction of chronic heel pain arising from plantar fasciitis
Regulatory clearances and permitted indications may vary by country. Canadian professionals should contact Magne-tec for current information regarding availability, licensing and appropriate clinical use in Canada.
Hands-Free Technology Designed for Clinical Efficiency
One of the most practical features of the FX 635 is its hands-free operation. The system uses three Class 2 line-generating laser diodes and two independently adjustable arms, allowing practitioners to position the laser energy over the desired treatment area.
Once the device has been properly positioned and the treatment settings have been selected, the practitioner does not need to hold or continuously operate the applicator. This can help medical staff use their time more efficiently while maintaining consistent treatment delivery.
For busy clinics, hands-free operation may make it easier to incorporate low-level laser therapy into existing patient workflows without placing unnecessary demands on clinical staff.
Key Features of the Erchonia FX 635
The FX 635 combines advanced laser technology with a clinic-friendly design. Features include:
- Three Class 2, 17.25 mW line-generating laser diodes
- A 640 nm red-light wavelength
- Variable modulation
- Two independently adjustable treatment arms
- Hands-free treatment delivery
- Full-colour touchscreen controls
- Four locking anti-static casters
- An adjustable freestanding design
- A durable, powder-coated aircraft-aluminum chassis
- Compatibility with 100–240 VAC power sources
Its movable design allows the device to be repositioned throughout a clinic, while its adjustable arms help practitioners direct treatment toward specific areas based on the patient’s needs and the clinic’s established protocols.
Enhance the Patient Experience
Patients are increasingly looking for treatment options that can fit into their daily lives with minimal disruption. The FX 635 offers a non-invasive experience without needles, incisions, burning or extended downtime.
Following a treatment session, patients can generally continue with the rest of their day. This convenience may make low-level laser therapy an appealing addition to a broader treatment plan for appropriate patients.
The device may also help clinics differentiate their services by adding advanced technology to their existing approach to pain management and rehabilitation.
Add Low-Level Laser Therapy to Your Practice
Before investing in new medical technology, it is important to understand how the equipment operates, how it may fit into your current services and what training or clinical considerations may be involved.
A personalized demonstration gives your team the opportunity to see the FX 635 in operation, explore its hands-free workflow and ask questions about integrating the technology into your practice. It can also help you assess whether the device aligns with your patient population, clinical goals and business model.
